CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS
In popular media and culture, the Beach has acted as a metaphorical and literal space of queer platonic and romantic intimacy. It’s a place where bodily expression is the norm, a place where heteronormativity is continuously broken down. The beach is inherently queer.
“BEACH: a digital exhibition” is a digital shoreline, a waterfront where queer works of art and literature are carried to the shore by waves, or lost in the dunes after a long day. In its primarily web-based format, the beach will be able to act as a constantly evolving and fluid gallery space.
Submissions will be accepted until August 30th 2017.
We encourage LGBTQ+ individuals to apply.
Please submit your files in either .jpg, .png, .gif, ,mp4, or .txt formats. Proposals for an entire “room/page” of the gallery are welcome as well.
Artists are free to submit multiple entries.
